Mount Tahoma Trails

Mount Tahoma Trails Association (MTTA), has some of the nicest huts in the state for winter sports and at $15/person/night its hard to beat the cost, Snow Bowl is hardly even a hut really, its more of a luxury cabin.

The well groomed trails (map 1, map 2), approximately 50 miles, 20 miles of which are groomed, three huts, and a yurt are located just south of Mt Rainier National Park and offer spectacular views of The Mountain.

Rendezvous

The Rendezvous Huts in the Methow Valley are another great option for the Methow area, they afford varied terrain and some great dog friendly runs on some fine groomed trails.

Stay in the huts, ski hut to hut or just do it for the day, its just another part of one of Americas best Nordic ski area's.

The View From Echo Ridge

The view from Echo Ridge of the Lake Chelan valley and the Central Cascades, we stayed at and can recommend the almost ski out Uncle Tim's Cabins. It may not look like a lot of snow, but it is plenty for the well groomed trails.

Avalanche hazards

A recent avalanche over upper Smithbrook road, a real hazard for cross country skiing in the Cascades. Always stay on top of your avalanche forecast at NWAC.

It was a beautiful day for skiing, even with 14 degree temps.
